Hi/Lo Thursday...on Friday

Lo

Jacob had a horrible day at school on Tuesday. He is terrorizing all of his "friends". His teacher wrote a detailed description of his actions and it wasn't pretty. Charles and I were horrified and wondered (although we feel we know...the other kids at school) where he had learned these behaviors. I spoke at length with his peditrician who assured me that this is normal for a 3 year old. His words, "they kida go bi-polar when they turn three". We had a long talk with him and applied some punishment and he's doing much better.

Hi

It's a couple of pictures from yesterday. These kids participated in the walk for life in our town. Awesome!!

Prayer for the Unborn

Heavenly Father, in Your love for us, protect against the wickedness of the devil, those helpless little ones to whom You have given the gift of life.

Touch with pity the hearts of those women pregnant in our world today who are not thinking of motherhood.

Help them to see that the child they carry is made in Your image - as well as theirs - made for eternal life.

Dispel their fear and selfishness and give them true womanly hearts to love their babies and give them birth and all the needed care that a mother can give.

We ask this through Jesus Christ, Your Son, Our Lord, Who lives and reigns with You and Holy Spirit, One God, forever and ever. Amen.

Jacob is not a big fan of church. He freqently misbehaves, but he tolerates it.....as long as it's ONLY once a week.

A dear friend invited us to a blessing of the baby Jesus from our Nativity scene. It would be our first time attending this blessing ceremony which was on a Sunday afternoon. This particular Sunday morning, my baby boy was rather ummm.....challenging during mass. He was reprimanded which meant he probably didn't get his donut, which makes him rather unhappy.

He woke up from his nap just a few minutes before we were supposed to be at church for the blessing. He announced, "mommy, I want to go bye bye". Perfect, I thought, I put on his shoes and we were off. On the way I recited the names of all his friends that would be there and the closer we got the more excited he got.

As we pulled into the parking lot (we have only attended mass at this particular church once or twice) my sweet boy said, "HEY, THIS IS CHURCH"!!! "I NOT WANT TO GO TO CHURCH"!!! and he started crying. I wasn't about to set foot in that quiet church because I knew he would repeat his little montra at least a hundred times! Maybe we'll get our baby Jesus blessed next year!

Another attempt at baking

Why, you ask, you were there when they ate all the cupcake batter for the Birthday party. Guess I'm just a glutten for punishment. The boys had a blast! Enjoy the pictures

They were so excited to get started

Concentrating

Making cookies for their mom, dad and brother

So cute, my little baker...I'm so proud.....

Wait, what's that icing around his mouth?????

Oh no, NOT AGAIN!!

Somebody needs to teach this little boy some manners!!!!!!!

Anybody want a cookie????

I think this is a cool picture. Look at their hair color a perfect example
of auburn, blonde and black.
The big boys are our godchildren and they are twins!

Hi/Lo Thursday

This post is part of "Hi/Lo Thursday" on Riggs Family Blog (http://www.riggsfamilyblog.com/):

My hi for this past week was my family. Spending every evening doing what we do. Not having to share them with any other obligation. (I tend to "over commit" my self and my time). Also, getting a "mommy, I love you sooooo much" while my neck was being squeezed.

My lo was putting myself in Abby's parents' place and wishing they weren't there. At the same time this was a hi because I am witnessing great love, prayers and conversions in Abby's name.
